I'm missing something with access to a MySQL database from other machines. Should I have a line in inetd.conf to allow this?
Depending on your distro, you might find a line in (I'm running Woody) /etc/mysql/my.cnf (or /etc/my.cnf) that says "skip-networking" Comment out that, that'll help ;) and make sure that a port is set for network access in the same file!
