4. Computer steadfastly refuses to boot from supplied cdrom......have a feeling that time taken for cd drive to wind up makes BIOS think it is dead. Oh yes I've tried that......all variation/combinations of floppy, CD etc..... I've got two CD drives.......one a DVD/CDRW which is really slow at spooling up to speed and a standard CD....... In the manual it says...." boot: linux hdc=cdrom" This example attempts to force your system to use your CD-ROM drive......well it doesn't succeed with mine. ( I've tried using hda, hdb, hdc, hdd as well ) When the computer boots it gives the option of Linux or Windows.....if you choose Linux it goes straight into the Redhat 6.1 setup configuration.......is there a way of stopping this installation process and getting it to take notice of the CD ?
