Are you using a proxy? Does it support HTTPS?
We are running Open Office here, When installed it said no Java Enviroment was found. I assume this is not a default install with the Red Hat Distro, Would this have any effect on Mozilla, and Open Office
The install of StarOffice 5.1 and 5.2 came with a long discussion of precisely what versions of Java would satisfy Star Office, and how to install Java under Linux, on the installation CD. I suspect it'll be in the Star Office documentation somewhere.
