[LUG] hda: lost interrupt

I've got this in my kern.log:
Sep 29 21:49:45 wolverine kernel: hda: lost interrupt

Now, I've had this a few times.
eg, yesterday, and today. What happens is the machine just stops. Lots of
hda: lost interrupt
hda: lost interrupt
hda: lost interrupt

appearing on the console.
Can only hard reset the machine.

The box is running Debian Woody with the debian 2.4.18 kernal for 386
boxen.

Anyone any ideas?
