vmware is excellent - you can boot up a virtual machine inside a window on a stable linux box.
Does vmware do DOS/console boxes in its Windows session, or is one better off looking at DOSEMU? You get the full OS booted into your virtual machine. Anything you can do on a Windows box, you can do in a VMWare Windows session. A VMWare session is a whole PC wrapped up inside the session. Having said that, if DOSEMU can cope with your DOS app, then you might be better off with that because of the memory overhead of VMWare (& the hassle of setting it all up). You could actually boot a DOS session into VMWare. So many options! ;o) Mart -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
