I advised an sudo -s session, but I wonder if there is a good "standard form" for this sort of thing? I can't get {} or () to be useful, in context. Somethig that did then come up was Mozilla. When installing, we were asked if we wanted Trutype fonts for mozilla. Assuming they were not there, I said no. So, dpkg-reconfigure mozilla was done, but that didn't bring up anything. Anyone know how to be asked that question again?
I managed to sort Mozilla out by editing /etc/mozilla/prefs.js and adding another prefs line for truetype fonts pointing to the new fonts directory. This having previously sorted out kde. It seems my installation of Deb3 is running Xft font server to handle truetype fonts so I edited /etc/X11/XftConfig to add a line to tell it the location of the new fonts directory then restarted X and kde was happy to show me all my truetype fonts. Its easy when you're sober :) Tony __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
