linux + bridging + wavelan = problems!

somethign to do with the MAC address source, and the cards insiting on their 
MAC is what is set in the h/w.  iirc that is.

some cards support an linux-wvlan-ng:

which allow you to use linux + some cards as an AP.  never tried it myself 
though (not enough time!).

I was forced to just use standard routing on my lummox box with a pcmcia pci 
card + lucent/orinoco card.
