I remember Simon W speaking on Linux boxes doing bridging.
linux + bridging + wavelan = problems! somethign to do with the MAC address source, and the cards insiting on their MAC is what is set in the h/w. iirc that is. some cards support an linux-wvlan-ng: <http://www.linux-wlan.com/linux-wlan/> which allow you to use linux + some cards as an AP. never tried it myself though (not enough time!). I was forced to just use standard routing on my lummox box with a pcmcia pci card + lucent/orinoco card. ~ Theo - -- Theo Zourzouvillys <theo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> <http://theo.me.uk/> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9kITz448CrwpTn6YRAqdaAJ96GX09910f/hi1CqTImv9Wlj8FCwCfbWnc RGPXboGC+Qai28oI/QBe9eI= =Sw0G -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
