How do I get xdm to go looking for the server, rather than just operate locally?
xdm dosn't go looking, it accepts remote requests. Which depending on your distribution you may need to turn on. Your remote X servers then need to use "X :0 -query <server>" or "X :0 -broadcast" if you have only one *dm or don't care which one is used on the network. The LTSP package provides an appropriate set of servers and kernels which can be network booted. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
