2 questions for you all to ponder...Perchance the lilo entry is pointing to the wrong partition /wrong drive or the location of the boot directory is unabtainable by lilo for example an extended partition beyond the 1024 cylinder,or lilo is just not been written to the MBR correctly.What type of partitioning/filesystem scheme have you plumbed for?
1) why the hell do i get a load of "01 01 01 01 01...." if i tell lilo to load on my fresh install of debian 3 ? i have tried to re-run lilo, and a complete r-install.. no joy...
boot = /dev/hda root = /dev/hdd1 (ext2
do i need the boot.b line ?
Neil
boot = /dev/hda and root = /dev/hdd1 sounds ok if they are were they should be in the lilo.conf file.
