The other approach is the subversive one, if people start doing something in little groups, or are using Linux here and there, eventually management realise they need a team and a plan....
Subversion is an excellent tactic to introduce OSS by the back door. But on the other hand, it's a pain in the backside for the Support team. Anybody who's done support knows what it's like when users 'customise' their own areas with personal software and utilities. Wider use of the Linux test station idea could be the better way forward. -- Mike Callaghan Newquay, Cornwall PGP key available from http://www.at.pgp.net/pgpnet/wwwkeys.html PGP Fingerprint: AB64 C466 8DCA DF48 8382 3F63 FC36 BAEF -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
