True enough. There are some unix boxes I've installed which have been up for years.

Then it's probably not a PC. It's more likely to be a redundant array of high quality Unix boxes with some clustering tech thrown in. I can do you some good HA kit with linux PCs though, if you fancy it. Depends how critical it is, or more specifically, how much money you lose if it's down.
