Since they are all closed source, who'd know?
W2K was already found to have overflows in the IRDA code, which some meters might use, it was tripped accidentally by an opensource developer trying to interoperate. Hopefully the device itself enforces it's own protocol so it doesn't become a vector for the virus. But these days most things are reprogrammable. What the Open Source groups are doing to SMC wireless access points should make SMC blush at how little they put into the boxes in the first place! Hopefully medical devices are equally hard to reprogram "silently" - the SMC box requires administrator authentication to reprogram it for example. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
