I have focused more on those with static IP addresses, or webservers. Not that dynamic IP addresses make you safer from automatic exploits, but they can make deliberate attacks quite painful to execute. Things that genuinely deny everything are a bit boring, most people with a fixed IP allow mail in somewhere.... have DNS servers (even if not their own), routers, and the like. Some even have firewalls which is what I was hoping to start working on next.
i can give you permsiion to investigate one of our class C ranges if you like. It's running lots of network services, and has a fair few ports open for you to investigate. ~ Theo - -- Theo Zourzouvillys http://zozo.org.uk/ Many changes of mind and mood; do not hesitate too long. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9JLuy448CrwpTn6YRAmNPAKCiMqW0M/us4nX3fwo5wVm53firKgCdEWe5 xY0t43+FmXY8x/sJHuDO0a4= =PRAk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
