I need to be able to log in to a machine via ssh without having to give a password. I've created my keypair on my local machine, and copied identity.pub to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the remote machine. But the system still asks for a password.
It's definitely the password, not the pass phrasen associated with the keys?
I've made sure that 'RSAauthentication yes' is set in remote sshd_config file.
Has anyone any ideas.
Does your host appear in ~/.ssh/known_hosts? Steve -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
