thanks for your help with my questions. i managed to get the ntfs drive to load automatically, by inserting the line: /dev/hde1 /mnt/windowsxp ntfs defaults 0 0 ,in the etc/fstab file. i am still stuck on how to get the joystick drivers to load at startup. i have located the modules.config files. but i don't know what commands to insert . any help would be appreciated . andrew
