Interesting.

[mb@xxxxx mb]$ ls -l /bin/sh
lrwxrwxrwx      1       root    root    4 May 22        09:13   /bin/sh
-> bash

(fresh install)


Just guessing here, but I can reproduce the message you are getting by
specifying noexec as a mount option for the installation media.
Anything funny in /etc/fstab or the media from which you are trying to
install?
