Okay so I discovered that ssh-keygen was bust (slightly) in my old OpenSSH. Thinking it was stale anyway, I decided an upgrade would be nice. So downloaded latest and greatest (?!). 3.2.2p1 ./configure ; make ; make install .zzzZZZ Okay ssh-keygen now works in all it's variations, backup's to other machine using rsync+ssh still works, ssh to other machines still works. Two days later I try incoming ssh for first time - "Failed Password" sshd -d -d -d ssh -v -v -v Still just "failed password". Putty in the password is rejected.... I did stop and restart sshd, maybe I should have done that before "make install" ;) I'm going to watch the ./configure and make install output more closely in the abscence of better suggestions. Argh - what am I missing? Did anyone pick up on the SecurityFocus article on SSL and SSH regards dsniff as all I get at the security focus web site at the moment is a blank browser. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
