I personally use the transgaming winex system which runs windows office quite well and has the added advantage of being developed with directX compatibility too. I subscribe to the service so I get to vote on which programs/compatibility issues get addressed currently DX8 compatibility is a hot topic. It does however take a fairly strong OpenGL compliant card to make most of it. But for £3.84($5) it pays the developers to continue developing and you get the latest version. Plus if they get enough subscribers the winex code will be integrated back into the wine project. Its not free but anything that allows me to run windows based software in Linux without requiring a windows license is ok in my books. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adrian Midgley" <akm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2002 7:15 PM Subject: [LUG] emulators: TWIN/Willows Anyone had any experience of this? http://www.willows.com/ Wine seems to have a way to go, although the CodeWeavers version has been getting good comments. I've installed it and it works well for some things but not for others. --
