use man iptables to look up the options.
ipchains and iptables are very similar so iptables -L
Just got round to trying this
typing ipchains -L at root (on my laptop also running suse 7.3), gives
ipchains: incompatable with this kernel

hi paulsomething
i'm not familiar with LinNeighborhood - but could you dig out the firewall settings
#ipchains -L
if you are using ipchains - look in man iptables for the equivalent.
bear in mind - ping works on the icmp protocol - must other stuff is tcp,

Hi
I am having a few probs with a simple network, which I think has
to do with the suse firewall configuration
Current set up
Laptop with ip 192.168.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0 Desktop with ip 192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
I have suse 7.3 on both and they are connected together via a hub,
