A colleague made the point that Linux is harder to switch off at the end of the day than are a couple of other competing operating systems and their intrinsic or associated desktops. So a well-known way to set up a single click shutdown (to a notice saying turn off the power now) would be worth publicising, as perhaps would a script that sets up a system to do that.
