I have an AMD Duron 700MHz, 40gb HDD, 320mb ram, Advansys SCSI card with
an 8x cdrom, an epson GT3000 scanner, and an external yamaha 12x8x32
CDRW hanging from it, Asuscom ISDN adaptor, ATI Rage pro graphics card,
connected to an old Orchid Righteous 3D. 

This is all running Mandrake 8.1 quite happily with no problems at all.
I also have my email server which is a similar spec, only without the 
cd writers, but a slower 300MHz processor.
