[LUG] SUSE 8,2 and Nvidia installer

Dear All

I have installed SuSe 8.2 (which a member kindly sent me) however I cannot 
work out how to use the nvidia installer for the necessary graphics drivers. 
My main problem is that I do not know how to turn the x server on and off. 

Has anyone expereince of using the installer?

I am not too clever when it comes to linux so please treat me as stupid when 
it comes to replying
