I have installed and run RedHat 9 for a little while.. In all honesty I am disapointed... It was very slow, took all the RAM and CPU available even filled the swap... After 30 mins I was able to get myself logged in (30 mins after entering username/password) to a useable state.
Finally I got bored of waiting for the system and reverted to RedHat 8.0 (much faster)
I think that perhaps RedHat released this a little too quick, they also seem to be trying to get ".0" releases out of the door faster than we can buy and eval them.
Note to redhat: Please can you iron out 8.0 to 8.1 before trying to release 9.0 ? Thanks
Sorry if this has put anyone off, but I always tend to give an honest opinion of my findings...
