http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/31472.html It saddens me to see articles where the open source community are accused (implied) of apathy or using the wrong approach. I know a lot of good people have been working quietly in the background to get this whole patent thing kicked out, or at least put into the correct perspective. They don't seek media attention or fame (and certainly not fortune) from what they are doing, just a more balanced society where choice and freedoms exist. The likes of Disney / Microsoft et al can afford to have someone camped outside the doors of politicians and feed them the FUD, the open source community can not as a whole compete with that blanket coverage. A wise man said, I give them food they call me a saint, I ask why they go hungry they call me a communist. Has it come to this with open source, are we now all to be labelled communists (in the derogatory sense) because we want to maintain the right of people to have a choice in the software they use ? So be it, I am a communist ! Tom. Information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged. It is the intended solely for the person ( or persons) to whom it is addressed.
