First thing is to see if it (the zip drive) can be seen and works at all, then later you can 'automate' it a bit more. For the newer zip drives you need the imm module, so try (as root): /sbin/insmod imm mount /dev/sda4 /mnt Then try 'df -k' to see if it was mounted on /mnt. Not sure you 'need' to be root - I'll have to check that at home. Sorry, my home pc has the zip drive so I am guessing a little here.
