Re: [LUG] Bogomips
Regarding my response to this I have a cyrix 233 processor running at 166
mhz this is due to hardware problems in that if I set the jumpers correctly
I get a really bright screen, but if I set the jumpers in their setting
before I upgraded from a p166mmx it works ok but at the wrong speed. Hope
this clears a few things up.
At present I am not concerend with this lack of real perfomance as I want to
build an AMD K62/500 system.
I have tried other jumper clock setting to no effect,
Out of interest is'nt there a bogomips document with the LDP which covers
all processors from 386 upto p2 and beyond (probably p3 by now). It also
covers SMP and other processors e.g sparc.
