Hi,

I have Red Hat Linux 6.0, have downloaded the source for php-3.0.16 and I
cannot get gcc to install it.  I downloaded gcc as an rpm and installed
that, but when I ./configure in the php source directory, i get
gcc cannot make an executable.

Can enyone help this Linux Newbie from Cornwall please?
