Re: [LUG] Internet Dial_in
Basic linux troubleshooting involves alot of personal effort (it's is
worth it though).
There should be a place on your system where package documents are kept.
Much better(or at least much more current) than any manual.
on my system it's in the /usr/share/doc directory i think. it could well
be different on SuSE. try /share/doc, or the command locate doc or locate
kinternet.
use a utility like less or zless to view the documents.
e.g. where i am looking up info on the command wget
hendry at seneca:~$ cd /usr/share/doc/wget/
hendry at seneca:/usr/share/doc/wget$ ls
AUTHORS MAILING-LIST NEWS.gz README TODO.gz changelog.Debian.gz
changelog.gz copyright html
hendry at seneca:/usr/share/doc/wget$
and then i type:
less README
to read what that thing has to say.
hope that gets you started. some searching on www.google.com reveals a
http://www.kinternet.org/
