Hi all,

With regard to the differences in rendering of the lug site, I've re-written 
the index page in two forms. The first uses 'basic' HTML to get the <font> 
tags nested properly and the <p> tags closed properly. This displays fine in 
IE5, Netscape 4.7 and Konqueror 2.

The second uses CSS to dramatically cut the complexity of the first page and 
to add flexibility so that other pages can use the one CSS file for all 
display settings:

Both pages render properly under Konqueror 2. 

(The images have been saved as local files and the src attributes recoded but 
this is only for the purposes of this demonstration.)

(And no, not all the links, although visible, actually link to the LUG site - 
it's only a demo!)
