[LUG] PuTTY
Not *strictly* a Linux thing but I would imagine it's useful to many of the
people none the less.
There's a new version of PuTTY out (0.50). It seems to be quite a major
update.
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
For the un-initiated of you, PuTTY is the best ever (imho) telnet & ssh
terminal emulator for windows.
And its British.
And its groovy.
And they've even done a version of scp for windows.
I've just been reading the site and found this at the bottom of the FAQ:
Question: How do I pronounce PuTTY?
Answer: Just like "putty". Exactly like the stuff you put on window frames.
It's called PuTTY partly because it makes Windows usable :-)
Quality.
Alex.
